For Dreamweaver 8 and CS3
From the Basics to CSS, PHP, Javascript Mail Forms, Client Logins & More!
Course Overview...
Part 1 - Dreamweaver and HTML Basics If you've never taken a Dreamweaver course in the past, this lesson is for you. All the basics are here...using tables, text, images, embedding Flash, uploading your files, and simple HTML concepts. Past students can skim through this lesson!
Part 2 - CSS Basics, Text, and Layout CSS is covered in depth through the entire series of courses, but this lesson focuses primarily on it. The Layout Section of the course will be a welcome departure for those of you that usually lay out your HTML pages using tables or frames. Flexible designs are covered, as well as setting up alternate page styles using the same HTML content
Part 3 - PHP Basics, PHP Image Gallery, PHP Mail-Form Beyond the basics, we'll cover how to build a dynamic image gallery with Dreamweaver and PHP (great for web comics, or large photo archives) AND we'll tackle creating Forms to send to a PHP mail-script. The contents of the form get mailed to your address. PHP is a server side script, so for this lesson you'll need to upload your files onto your host for testing.
Part 4 - Slick Buttons and a Myriad of Navigation Techniques The course covers some of the many ways to go from Point A to Point B. This includes... PUlldown Jump Menus, Navigation Bars, Javascript Rollover Images, CSS Rollover Images, CSS Dropdown Menus, SPRY Dropdown Menus (CS3 Users Only), Flash Buttons created in Dreamweaver, and some Flash buttons/menu's we've included. Also taught, how to reveal hidden CSS content by hovering a link or section.
Part 5 - Variable Contingent Styles, PHP Based Client Login Learn how to program an entrance page to your site which takes users to a different CSS design based on a particular preference (like originating Country). This part of the course also covers how to set up randomly different designs on your pages. Next up, program a PHP based client login panel. Great for locking down work-in-progress pages to show your clients. Finally this course includes some Javascript examples.
Part 6 - QuickTime, Meta Tags, and Final Design Tips This finale lesson covers a few odds and ends...the new IE7 friendly method for embedding QuickTime, Search Engine Optimization tips, Meta Tags, Site Maps, Image Optimization techniques (slicing) and finally putting together a final design using some of what's been covered throughout the series.

Gnomon.Imaginative.Illustration.J.P.Targete.DVDR.VOL2 ~ 2,1Gb In this second of three DVDs, J.P. takes you through the crucial iddle-step of creating a black and white tonal underpainting. He discusses his techniques in detail while emphasizing composition, value and lighting. You will learn how J.P. uses Adobe Photoshop’s painting and transformation tools to quickly detail his backgrounds with texture and pre-made original imagery. J.P. also shows how visually embellishing the characters and scene will help with the final color painting. Through this lecture you will get an insight into J.P.'s thought process as he journeys further into the world of the "Dark Riders" and continues to develop the characters, creatures and story in the illustration. Over 3 hours of lecture. |
