Grinderman are a garage rock band formed by Nick Cave (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Warren Ellis (violin, bellzouki, guitar), Martyn P. Casey (bass guitar) and Jim Sclavunos (drums); all members of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The band was described in an initial press release as ???Foul-mouthed, noisy, hairy, and damn well old enough to know better.??? Their debut album is scheduled for release in March of 2007. Cave plays guitar in the group; he has rarely (if ever) recorded with the instrument, and his admittedly primitive playing has changed the sound of the group??�s music.

Grinderman??�s debut album, due out 2007 on March 5th.
